Germ Theory

Well, that's a strange way to start a discussion. Now I'm thinking about germs. And Germany. And German chocolate cake. What's so special about their chocolate? Now I'm hungry. I wonder if anyone will bring a desert tomorrow for our coffee? (That's called a subliminal message).

Back to germs, there was a time not too many years ago that we as humans didn't know about germs. What they were or how they spread. Seems so commonplace now. Let's talk a little about germs and how they spread (I just listened to a very interesting podcast on TB). Have we as humans eliminated any diseases from our planet? Are there any that threaten us?

This got me to thinking about Christianity. Are we living it? Do we understand it? Does it spread? Does everyone know about it? And what about our old sinful man. Is he still in there? Does sin also spread?

Life is so short. I get reminded of that often. I don't think God put us here just to take up space and wait for an eventual promised land. Just to be average. I think maybe there is something better for us today. Here. Now. And tomorrow. Even in this uncertain, fragile, spinning blue dot we float thru space occupying.
