It's been an interesting week for me. I'm in what you might call a "pondering" mindset. Most of my time this week has been spent in meetings, phone calls and spreadsheets. I've been with everyone from the company president, the CFO, data entry people even the guy who crushes our slag. We're searching for holes in our systems. We're still searching.
Sometimes it's hard to move forward because we're stuck in yesterday. We watch the same shows. We eat the same meals. We wear the same socks. I wonder (let's use the word ponder) if this is what God was thinking when he envisioned "Mark".
Did you know the rear view mirror in your car is just a fraction of the size of your windshield? That's interesting. Shouldn't our lives be that way? Have we ever looked forward to the years ahead and asked "what is God's plan for the rest of this?" Let's discuss that a little this week.
It is said that as Walt Disney was lying on his death bed he looked up at the ceiling tiles and described the layout of the "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT)" to his brother Roy. He saw each square tile as a section of EPCOT and what would be in it.
On my death bed, I wonder if I'll still be looking forward or only backward?
Proverbs 29:18
See you tomorrow!
