Have you ever had a big victory? Not a win that is random, not by chance, not a drawing or a guessing contest. Something big. Something that meant you had to prepare, work, study for a long time. I think we often don't take the risk of success to protect us from failure.
Failure is easy to avoid. Just don't join the team. Then you won't lose. Don't take the shot. Then you won't miss. Or will you? How many blessing have we missed because we "didn't"?
This week let's talk about the differences between failure and success and the characteristics that precede each. Why do some seem to always win and some to always come up short? It might surprise you to learn that there is very little difference in the two.
What about our spiritual life? Are we winning? Are we successful? Are we where God needs us? For our story let's use David and Goliath. But not in the way you might think. I want to focus on 1 Samuel 17:8. It's a verse we probably read but don't think about because we want to get to the verses about David.
See you tomorrow!
