Tear off the roof

We went to a concert Thursday evening (Brandon Lake). On the first song (Praise you anywhere) everyone stood up. Ten thousand people all standing, cheering, lights, music, people singing, waving their hands. I held Lexi so she could see over the crowd. She was singing along the entire song. When it came to a part she knew all the words to she would belt out as load as she could! Everyone had a blast.

After the concert the entire crowd emptied the arena at the same time. The large hallways were packed. The flow of people completely stopped for maybe two minutes. No one was moving in any direction. It made me think of Mark 2. Also, the name of the concert was "tear off the roof tour" so I guess that planted the seeds.

Mark 2:4 says "And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay." What a sentence. Is there a more powerful image in the entire Bible?

When is the last time you ignored the crowd to find Jesus? When is the last time your faith had no limit? When is the last time you tore off the roof? Let's study Mark 2 and see what faith can do.

See you tomorrow.
